This set of drawings represents another several years of Kent’s use of art as a tool for working on mental health.  She sees this second group of drawings as related to one another, as well as to the set she exhibited years earlier at Tom & Jerry’s bar in Manhattan, connected by her emotional through-lines as much as their imagery.  Kent has developed a practice of drawing her way through her feelings.  The art she makes as a result is not intended for an audience, and so she is able to relax the standards she holds herself  and her art to.  It is a therapeutic ritual she plans to continue throughout her life.
